Volunteering with young people
Our volunteers support young people by working with them to help them gain the necessary skills and confidence they need to achieve their goals.
Volunteers work directly with a young person or group of young people, providing support by:
- Planning and facilitating the delivery of our core programmes and learning outcomes to young people, both in person and virtually
- Lending their specialist sector or professional knowledge/skills/experience to provide young people with short-term support where needed to move into education, employment, training, self-employment, or a volunteering opportunity
- Giving help and guidance in the form of Mentoring, to support any young person into a positive outcome over a longer period
Facilitate and support children and young people in one of our education programmes to unlock their potential and feel motivated about their future.
Support young people on a one-to-one basis to develop their confidence and skills and achieve a positive outcome.
Support young people on a one-to-one basis to identify if self-employment is right for them, test their business idea and provide guidance to new entrepreneurs as they establish and grow their own businesses.
Plan and deliver sessions, provide feedback and support the learning of young people in our programmes.
Provide short-term mentoring and guidance to a young person where expert knowledge/skills/experience is required to help them achieve their goals.
